Two of my photos placed this month in the University Photographers’ Association of America (UPAA) monthly image competition and I am thrilled! My photo of Lupe Fiasco taken at this year’s Pantherfest placed second in the news, spot, & feature category. The team photo of the women’s basketball team standing in the shape of a heart (their team motto this year is “one team, one beat”) placed third in the sports features & illustrations category. I finished strong in the final round of this academic year’s University Photographers’ Association of America (UPAA) Monthly Image Competition. For images taken in the month of May 2011, two of my photographs placed! What a great way to end the school year! My photograph of the UWM Triathlon Club riding near Bradford Beach placed 4th in the “Sports Features” category and my portrait of Susan Barnett at the Harley-Davidson Museum took 3rd in the “People & Portraits” category. I can’t wait for the competition to start up again this fall, I have plenty of great images to enter from the summer months. Check out the May 2011 MIC Winners gallery here.

My photo of Zeke placed first in the University Photographers’ Association of America Monthly Image Competition for Dec 2010/Jan 2011 images in the Personal Vision category. Exciting! Zeke is such a good subject.
