Two of my photos placed this month in the University Photographers’ Association of America (UPAA) monthly image competition and I am thrilled! My photo of Lupe Fiasco taken at this year’s Pantherfest placed second in the news, spot, & feature category. The team photo of the women’s basketball team standing in the shape of a heart (their team motto this year is “one team, one beat”) placed third in the sports features & illustrations category. More than 14,000 members of the UWM Panther family attended PANTHERFEST at the Marcus Amphitheater Sept. 9 - including main acts Lupe Fiasco and Girl Talk. In case you weren’t part of the biggest crowd in PANTHERFEST history, check out the photos and see for yourself why it’s the party of the year.
